Dimitra's First International Hospitality Experience in Austria
"My name is Dimitra and I'm from Greece.
Working abroad was always something I wanted to experience, especially in the hospitality industry because I enjoy communication, customer service, and meeting people from different cultures.
Before this opportunity, I had a one-year gap in my professional experience because of personal reasons. Honestly, this period made me feel uncertain about whether I would be able to find a good opportunity again, especially abroad.
After some time, I decided it was important for me to start again, rebuild my confidence, and continue growing professionally.
That's when I connected with VS Talent Tracker Recruitment Agency.
From the very beginning, the communication felt supportive and professional. One thing I truly appreciated was that nobody judged me because of my career gap. Instead, the agency focused on helping me move forward and find the right opportunity for my experience and personality.
I especially want to thank Mrs. Stella, who supported me throughout the process. She was always kind, patient, and encouraging, and she helped me feel more confident during moments when I was feeling stressed or unsure about taking such a big step.
With the support of VS Talent Tracker Recruitment Agency and Mrs. Stella, I successfully found my first international opportunity in Austria as a Receptionist.
Moving to another country for the first time was both exciting and emotional for me. Everything was new, the environment, the work culture, the people, and the daily life but little by little I started adapting and becoming more comfortable.
One thing I feel very proud of is that I successfully completed the entire season in Austria.
For me, this experience became much more than only work. It helped me grow personally, become more independent, improve my communication skills, and prove to myself that new beginnings are always possible even after difficult periods in life.
I'm truly grateful for this opportunity and for all the support I received throughout the process.
To anyone who may feel worried because of a career gap or lack of confidence, I would honestly say: don't give up on yourself. Sometimes one opportunity can completely change your mindset and help you move forward again."
