Despina's Second Journey to Germany as a Spa Therapist
"My name is Despina and I'm from Greece.
Working abroad was always something I wanted for myself because I enjoy meeting new people, learning new cultures, and growing professionally through international experiences.
A few years ago, I had already worked in Germany once, and honestly, I always hoped I would return one day. I really liked the working environment there, and because I speak German, I always felt comfortable communicating with people and adapting to daily life.
As a Spa Therapist, I love working in wellness and hospitality because I enjoy helping guests relax and feel good during their stay. For me, this job is not only work, it's also about creating a positive experience for people.
While searching for a new opportunity in Germany, I connected with HR Mrs Popi. From the first communication, I felt very supported. The team was professional, friendly, and always available whenever I had questions or needed help during the process.
With their support, I successfully found a new position in Germany as a Spa Therapist, and I was honestly very happy and excited when everything was confirmed.
Returning to Germany for the second time felt special to me because it already felt familiar. Speaking German helped me a lot again, especially at work and in everyday life, and it made the transition much easier and less stressful.
This experience helped me grow again both professionally and personally. I met new people, improved my experience in wellness hospitality, and continued building the international career I always wanted.
One thing I really appreciated was the communication and support from VS Talent Tracker Recruitment Agency during the whole journey. Moving to another country can feel stressful sometimes, but having guidance and support makes a big difference.
Today, I'm very grateful for this opportunity and happy to continue my journey in Germany doing something I truly enjoy.
To anyone thinking about working abroad, I would say: believe in yourself, keep improving your skills, and don't be afraid to take opportunities when they come."
